resulted in many uncertainties about career paths for doctors, and the initial

Creative Careers was founded by Dr Tony Woolfson in 1983. It was the first
independent careers advisory service for doctors in the UK. Having made several
major career changes himself. Dr Woolfson is particularly well qualified to help
doctors with their career decisions. He has been an NHS consultant, and an
independent physician in Portugal, and a medical writer. He now works partly as a
locum consultant in general medicine, diabetes, endocrinology and renal medicine and
partly as the director of Creative Careers.

He is an experienced editor and presenter, and has continued his own learning in
areas as diverse as corporate and executive coaching, neurolinguistic programming,
business, marketing and website development and promotion.
